The home’s exterior is defined by stone cladding and dark-stained timber, echoing the historic gold-mining cottages of Central Otago while projecting a refined, modern character. Dual gabled forms and low-slung rooflines anchor the structure into the terrain, creating an elegant dialogue between permanence and nature.

The interior design unfolds through expansive glazing and soaring ceilings that frame the surrounding mountains. A natural palette of wood, stone, and muted fabrics softens the architecture’s bold lines. The living area’s stone fireplace and warm timber ceiling reinforce the connection between material and place, turning the interior into a continuation of the landscape.

One of the most beautiful corners of the house, the glass-enclosed wine cellar stands as a true centerpiece, designed as both display and experience. It features dark timber shelving, soft integrated lighting, and minimalist black framing that echoes the home’s architectural lines with quiet sophistication.
