Beautiful Small Hotel in Oia by Kapsimalis Architects
Perched on the cliffs of Santorini’s iconic Caldera, this boutique hotel designed by Kapsimalis Architects blends modern hospitality with the timeless charm of Oia’s whitewashed architecture.
The project integrates an old cave house with a newly built complex of five stepped rooms, carefully positioned to respect the terrain, views, and village context.
The rooms are arranged across different levels, each offering private outdoor lounges and plunge pools while maintaining privacy through smart use of vertical walls and greenery. The minimalist exterior echoes the cubic forms of traditional Cycladic architecture, while the interiors contrast soft off-white plasters with dark marble floors, custom oak furniture, and curated textures for a refined, eclectic feel.
With a focus on view, light, and microclimate, the hotel’s design achieves a harmonious balance between local tradition and contemporary luxury, offering guests a serene yet immersive experience of Santorini.
