A Compact Timber Home with Thoughtful Design
Located near the Gulf of Finland, Delo House 3.2 is a prefabricated timber-frame home developed by Delo Studio. The linear structure sits on a raised site and includes both a main house and a detached annex, connected by a larch-wood terrace that frames a small courtyard.
The main building features two bedrooms, a study, living area, kitchen, walk-in wardrobe, and guest toilet. The annex adds a kitchen-dining room with a wood-fired stove and a compact bathroom. Large windows offer uninterrupted views of the pine forest and sea, reinforcing the home’s connection to its setting.
Clad in custom-milled cedar siding, the house uses materials efficiently with a focus on sustainability. Interiors are finished in cedar paneling and terrazzo tile, with hydronic underfloor heating and smart ventilation. Built-in furnishings and freestanding pieces are custom-designed by Delo, including 3D-printed dining chairs made from recycled plastic—developed with Studio Eburet—highlighting the project’s commitment to sustainable design.
